Jonathan is a well-known and popular figure in the Ceredigion football scene, having led the Roosters’ backline for nearly two decades.

A dependable centre-back, Jonathan first joined the Roosters in 2000 from Llanrhystud before signing for Aberystwyth Town’s Reserve side in 2001. He returned a year later spending another two years at Cae Baker before moving to North Wales side Caernarfon Town in 2004.

He returned for the third time in 2005 before Aberystwyth Town picked him up again. He left Park Avenue again in 2007 joining Penparcau where he spent three years, before returning to the Roosters in 2010.

Jonathan once again joined Aberystwyth Town in September 2020 where he made eight league appearances, scoring once against The New Saints. He returned to the Roosters the following January.
