Penrhyncoch FC are delighted to announce the signing of forward Dion Phillips, who joins the club from Ceredigion League Division 1 champions Ffostrasol Wanderers.

The 24-year-old made his senior debut for Cardiff Met University and has featured in a European competition, coming on as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Luxembourgish side Progres Niederkorn in the preliminary round for the 2020 UEFA Europa League. He went on to make 16 more appearances for the Archers over the course of the 2019/20 season, scoring his only goal against Bala Town in September 2019.

After leaving the capital, Dion signed for Carmarthen Town in 2021, following their relegation from the top flight. He made 7 appearances at Richmond Park before joining Ffostrasol the following January.

It was with the Ceredigion League side where Dion showed his clinical side. He turned out 40 times for the Wanderers, scoring an extremely impressive 50 goals in all competitions, comfortably finishing as the league’s top scorer on 28 goals.

”After talking to Gari a few times, I felt it was the right decision to come to Penrhyn. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed traning so far, and getting to know the boys! I’m looking forward to an exciting season ahead.” – Dion told penrhyncochfc.com.
